Program Activities

The youth and children in our project catchment areas are lacking in both recreational facilities and sporting equipment. Young people, especially girls are the most vulnerable to social problems that are partly caused by idleness; and sporting activities are sure ways amongst others to meaningfully engage and support the youth in today’s rapidly changing world. It has become an increasing concern that most of the youth are being forced into life of crime because of idleness.

This programme is tailored towards supporting school going pupils and/or students, as well as to inspire confidence in the respective parents and/or guardians to assume keen interests in the education of their wards.

The general objective of the activity is to improve the living standards of people living in deprived communities through education, skills training and mentoring.

This project is specifically targeted at children of school going age at the basic level even though those at the senior high level will also indirectly benefit.
Though the project is being situated at Anakum, the surrounding villages are also expected to benefit.

The village outreach programme provides volunteers drawn from students and workers in the various fields of specialization to get involved in a week-long community service on annual basis.

Love feast is to climax all HRN activities in the year under review and to share in the joy of Christmas, as well as the New Year with our contact communities. It also positions us to appreciate the relentless efforts of our volunteers and partners, and to also outline the programmes calendar for the forthcoming year.
